The short version
birb makes birding a game. Players identify real birds by photo or song, add discoveries to a permanent birbDex and Life List, find rare variants, complete daily challenges, hatch eggs, care for a companion, decorate an aviary, and play with friends.
The story
Bird identification apps are wonderful field guides. birb starts with that same moment of discovery, then asks what happens next: what if every bird you met became a character in a collection game?
The result is a playful reason to step outside. birb combines on-device identification with a deep game loop spanning more than 1,000 illustrated birds, seasonal migration events, daily games, social aviaries, quests, companions, and rare finds. The real world supplies the adventure; birb remembers the story.
Privacy and fair play are part of the design. Exact capture locations remain private, public sightings use randomized approximate areas, there are no third-party ads, and money never buys birds.
